About Brendan Cronin
Dr Brendan Cronin is a corneal, cataract and refractive surgeon and the co-founder of Focus Vision in Brisbane, where he practises alongside Dr David Gunn. After graduating from the University of Queensland, he completed subspecialty corneal fellowship training at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the UK before returning to Queensland.
Dr Cronin is the Director of Education at the Queensland Eye Institute and teaches corneal, cataract and refractive surgical techniques to ophthalmologists around the world. His special interests include keratoconus — including corneal cross-linking and CAIRS — laser vision correction, and premium cataract and pterygium surgery. He co-created the CAIRSPlan surgical planning tool and the free Focus Vision Refractive Outcomes Analyzer used by surgeons internationally.
